Patrick Koenig, American golfer and influencer, on tour in France and visiting our Resonance Golf Collection courses
Renowned American golfer and photographer Patrick Koenig stopped off at three of our 18-hole Resonance Golf Collection courses as part of the RGV Tour de France 2024, from 23 September to 18 October. Known for his world record of 580 rounds played in one year and his 114k followers on Instagram, he captured the unique essence of each site. With a motorhome bearing the ‘Play Golf in France’ colours, he shared each stage with his global community. The Golf de Seignosse on the Côte Landaise and the golf courses at Le Touquet and Hardelot on the Côte d’Opale were all delighted to welcome him. Patrick Koenig had to cope with sometimes capricious conditions to capture the unique beauty of each site.
Golf d'Hardelot: a magical moment under the pines forest
On 26 September, Golf d’Hardelot was delighted to welcome Patrick Koenig to its two iconic courses, one of which is ranked in the TOP 100 of the most beautiful courses in Continental Europe: Les Pins and Les Dunes. Despite the changeable weather, Patrick Koenig took advantage of the sunny spells to capture some exceptional photos, illuminating the fairways and pine trees of Hardelot. Accompanied by Hervé Declety, who introduced him to the course’s signature holes, he alternated between the wooded charm of the Pines in the morning and the more undulating atmosphere of the Dunes in the afternoon. A gourmet break at the Golf des Dunes restaurant provided a moment of conviviality, adding to the experience of an unforgettable day.
Golf du Touquet: immersion on one of France's links courses
The La Mer course at Golf du Touquet, nestling in the heart of the Côte d’Opale, was the second of the Resonance Golf Collection courses to be visited by Patrick Koenig on 27 September. Heavy rain fell during Patrick Koenig’s visit, making conditions difficult to capture the singular beauty of this course set between sea and dunes. Before being forced to put his cameras away, Patrick Koenig was nevertheless able to capture the unique atmosphere of Le Touquet, reinforcing the image of this course as one of the must-see golf courses in France.
Golf de Seignosse: emotions under the Landes rain
Patrick Koenig’s long-anticipated visit to the Golf de Seignosse on 11 October was marked by capricious weather. Armed with determination, however, he braved the rain to play the 18 holes of the course in his buggy, captivated by the wild beauty of Seignosse between the maritime pine forest and the Atlantic Ocean. His passion for golf and photography led him to take some superb shots, reflecting the contrasts of an authentic environment. After this golfing feat, Patrick Koenig shared a lunch with the head chef of the Seignosse Golf restaurant, Pierre Millet. It was a convivial occasion to talk about his experience on the 18-hole Seignosse course and his incredible record as a golfer, holder of the Guinness World Record for the most rounds played in one year.
