Ormesson - 18-hole golf course
Length 6,004 m | Par 71 | 18 holes | Index < 54
Sporty, wooded and undulating are three adjectives that could be used to describe the Golf d’Ormesson. Designed by Henry Cotton, it’s a well protected golf course.
Teeing off at the first hole sets the tone and you’ll quickly realise that it’s a tricky par 4 on many levels. It even crosses a small lake with an uphill green. You need to work out your distance and avoid the trees to reach the green, well protected by its bunkers.
The rest of the golf course runs through the middle of the forest. The overall effect is that the golf course was created by nature itself. The trees exhibit a stunning colour palette, from the dark green of the large cedar trees to the soft green shoots that grow brighter as summer arrives and then turn to shades of rust and ochre. To sum up, although this course is suitable for all skill levels, it still offers a number of challenges appreciated by its regular players.
